Prayers for the Valley

As I sit here with power for the first time since Wednesday,
My heart is broke.
It's just so sad all the devistation in the areas around here.
Marshall County, Harvest, Coleman, Tuscaloosa and so so many many more.
I'm so greatful for everything I have right now.
And finally seeing the pictures from Tuscaloosa I just want to cry.
My beautiful city is hurt so bad.
I just want to cry.
I'd share pictures but I can't bare to look at them.
Everyone please please please! keep those who have had lose from all this in your prayers.
I love you all.

Guest of Honor

Happy Wednesday.
Today has been a wonderfully stormy day.
I didn't have school.
And if Alan from WHNT says 'tornader' one more time I might scream.
But none of this is actually related to my post.
May 26th I leave for Atlanta for the NAQT HSNCT or Scholar's Bowl Nationals 2011.
I'm so excited to spend 5 days in Atlanta with my team.
Hopefully we will come home National Champs.
It would be very nice.
Now during this time, it's very unlikely I'll be able to post.
This is where you dear readers come in.
I would love love love love for ya'll to guest blog for me while I'm gone.

If anyone would be intersted then please let me know.
You can do one of a few things.
  1. Comment on here saying you'd like to blog and leave me some way of contact.
  2. Facebook Message Me.
If anyone would be willing to Guest Blog, please let me know.

And keep all those in the Tennesse Valley in your thoughts and Prayers today as we go through the next 12 hours.
Everyone stay safe!

387 Days

As my senior friends get ready to graduation, it makes me start to think.
May 19th 2012.
At this point in time, it seems ages away.
In reality it's only a little over a year.
387 Days.
Roughly 190 School Days.
That's all that's left of my free public education.
I could say I was ready for that day.
But truth be told, I'm not.
I want to graduate... I'm ready to put my mark on the world.
Let there be no doubt about that.
But am I ready to leave what I've known for the past 16 years of my life?
No. Not at all.
I plan on making all the time I have until May 19th the best it could possibly be.
One of my favorite quotes is "Live Every Day Like its Your Last."
Live for the moments you'll never forget.
Live for the friends who will always have your back.
Make Mistakes.
Dream Big.
Do Your Best.
Go A Little Crazy.
I have a little list of things in the back of my mind that I want to do before I leave good ol' KDS.
I only have 387 days for that to happen.
Have a great evening and a wondeful Week.

Beautiful Books

So, I like to read.
It's a fact I don't try to hide.
I'm a big fan of series.
Some of my favorites include:

Harry Potter
by: J. K. Rowling
My favorite series of all time.
If you don't believe me, you can look here Never Tickle A Sleeping Dragon

Pretty Little Liars
By: Sara Shepard
The Amazing Books that the Amazing show came from.
If you love the show....well the books are about a billion times better.

The Clique
by: Lisi Harrison
I started this series back in 6th grade when it fit the times much better.
As I've gotten older and the books haven't well...I read all 14 but no regrets that it's over.
Vampire Academy
by: Richelle Mead
I just adore these books!!
I love everything about books. It's action and romance and everything else you could think of.
I highly recomend.
Last but not least,
my lastest obsession:
The Hunger Games
By: Suzanne Collins.
I just started these books on Saturday.
I'm only on Catching Fire right now but so far, I'm very much enjoying.

Also I want to brag on myself, I began working on a dress for graduation in fashion class.
I started working last Monday and I'm almost done!
Except pictures soon.

Thanks for always reading!

A Little Bit of Prep

So, ya'll have all seen my dream home once I'm rich and successful with a husband and children.
But before that?
Well let's say it won't be quite as elegant and more quirky.
Welcome to my little piece of heaven.
Walk down the hall way and you'll stumble onto

 The kitchen.
Hot Pink and all Girly. This room might be a little crazy, a little loud but always fun with great food.
Off of the kitchen would be the
The Dining Room.
Elegent and Soft.
A sharp contrast from the bright kitchen.
Also on the bottom floor would be the
The Living Room.
Perfect for entertaing friends.
Heading upstairs,
you'll find only a few rooms.
The Bedroom.
A beachy feel perfect for relaxing.
The closet that'll hold everything and anything.
Last but not least, the bathroom.

While, I doubt it'll ever happen, I really would love to have a house like this.
I'd love to hear what ya'll think.

Today my family went car shopping.
The results were very very good.
Instead of just one car....we came home with 2!!!
A new 2011 Toyota Rav4 in Black Forester Pearl for my Momma
Sorry about the grainy picture. Its from my phone, so kinda crappy.
Then for my father and I to share:
The Toyota 2011 Camry
I'm in love with this car.
Also, I was watching Girls Night Out on CBS last night and found a new band.

Hell on Heels

To go along with everything else....

Looks like I'll be finding alternate plans for this summer.

I will not be going to Alabama this summer.
I did not get excepted to the Health Scholars Program.

If anyone knows of any non-fast food places that are hiring, please let me know.
Everything happens for a reason I guess.

Fashion 101

As a Request of Ciara (Ciara's World - FABULOUS Blog! Check her out!) I am going to do a post about my Fashion Class.
Fashion couldn't come at a better part of the day.
All day until 7th period, I have serious classes.
Then I come into fashion.
Miss Beth Cagle is our wonderful teacher.
We've done quite a lot in there this year.
Our first project was a bag to hold walmart bags.
I made one for my mother but I don't have a picture of it.
After that we went on to making pajama pants
From there we went on to making our own purses
Following that, we did the history of fashion by doing papers on famous Designers and Time Periods.
I can't recal the designer I had but I know I had the 1910s for my Time Period.
From there we went on to making our sock monkeys (mine turned out ugly)
As of right now, we have not started a new class project but I am taking on a project of my own and making a dress.
Except pictures when I'm done!
If anyone has any questions about Fashion Class just let me know.
Thanks for reading!
Oh and speaking of fashion, I redesigned my blog....what do ya'll think?

Celeb Crushes

Celebrity Crushes.
Everyone Has Them.
You can try to deny it but the truth is, there's at least one you find very nice to look at.
For me, its the beautiful men.

Ryan Gosling
He's just so good looking.
And for most people He's known as Noah from the Notebook.
Honestly, I don't care to much for the Notebook.
I prefer Remember the Titans any day.

Leonardo DiCaprio
Oh Leo.
Romeo, Romeo, Wherefore Art Thou Romeo.
And then the Jack Dawson from Titanic.
And Even All Grown Up, he's still fine.

Prince Harry
Maybe it's the fact that he's a Prince.
Maybe its the fact he's British.
Maybe its just I have a thing for Redheads.
For most, everyone loves Prince William
for me, I love the younger Brit Prince.

Who are your celeb crushes?

Mongomery 2011

So, this past Wednesday (with the exception of graduation) was the final MCYL meeting for MCYL class of 2010-2011.
It makes me so sad :(
But this was probably my favorite trip all year!
We went to Montgomery

MCYL 2010-2011

It was a very eventful day to say the least.
To begin with, the bus was half an hour late.
And then on the way down there, we had to make a detour Prattville Baptist Hospital.
Poor TAM had a nose bleed that lasted for over 45 minutes and it wouldn't stop.
So we had to leave her with the Arab Sponser at the Hospital until her parents could get there.
(She's fine now though!)
We finally got there though so that was good!
After a few group pictures

Riley, McKayla, Me and Nick

We went to the Judicial Building and toured it.
After that we walked by the State House where we saw the AEA Press Confrence
From there, we went to lunch.
We had quite a few Represitives and Senator Clay Scofield with us.
Destin, Josh, Kyle, Riley, Nick, Jonathan and Myself got to sit with Senator Scofield and it was very interesting.
Following that we went to the Capital Building.
I remember going in 4th Grade and let's just say, I think I learned a lot more then back then.
That about wrapped up our day and we headed home
I had a great day.
I wish I could do this whole year over again.
It was a blast.
I feel like it made me grow as a person and learn to be more outgoing.

Taking on the Capital

Picture from the First Meeting
Tomorrow, I have Marshall County Youth Leadership commenly called MCYL.
MCYL is a group of about 30 Juniors from all of the Marshall County Schools (Arab, Albertville, Boaz, Douglass, DAR, Asbury, Brindlee Mountain and Guntersville)
We had to be interviewed and picked to be included.
We meet once a month and get to do things around the County.
This month though, we are heading to the State Capital down in Montgomery for an all day adventure.
Below is the outfit I'm wearing (well the shoes are a little diffrent but not much)
I'm hoping it'll be a blast.
I'll plan on posting pictures later although I make no promises.

Vroom Vroom

In light of recent events,
I'd like to share my dream cars:

Mercedes S55 AMG

Such a pretty car. This is what I'd want to drive after I've been a doctor for a few years.
It's sleek and stylish and fancy.

Porshe Boxster

This car is so hot. I just adore it.
Only bad thing about convertibles is it messes up your hair.

Volvo C30

Who doesn't want a car like a Cullen?

Volkswagen Beetle

I want this car so bad. It's just like Barbie's!
But this is a little to much for real use so
This one would work just as well.

Weekly Loves

So this week....not the greatest.
In all honesty, I could make a better list of what I don't love.
It would include: stupid people, the ACT test and having my first wreck.
But since this is weekly LOVES. I'll share some of the loves of the week.
  • Emily and Brook. Two of the best senior best friends EVER! I'm going to miss them both SO SO SO much next year. Being a back row baptist will never be the same.
  • Seeing my "big brother" Nathan, I love when he decides to come home
  • Going to Huntsville with Mamaw and Aunt Janie. All we do is shop and eat and shop and eat. It's the greatest.
  • Surviving my first wreck.... Defiantly LOVE that!
  • Cadberry Eggs... yummy.
  • Blonde Purple Shirt Harry Potter (I love my team)
  • Dr. Evil Mungalo-Fluff
  • Do you smell gas? I smell gas? Is that you?.... It is you!
  • Pumpkin Faces (Emily is the bestest)

  • My new sandals
I have nothing to wear with the sandals but I just love them.

So maybe after all, while this week wasn't good by far. It wasn't that bad.
Remember comments make my day. Ya'll are the best.

Thank the Lord for All I Got

So today was probably the worst day ever.

I had my first wreck. The car is all screwed up. I almost died. Luckily I jerked the car around to keep it from going over the side of the mountain. I spun the car completely around and hit the side of the mountain instead.

Thank the Good Lord for taking care of me!

There Must Be Something In the Air

Because there seems to be a whole lot of stupid floating around and today its extra heavy.

Aparently I took a trip back to niddle school with the amount of stupid drama that happened today. I got yelled at by someone I thought was a friend just because there was only one seat left at the table and he was saving it for his girlfriend. Now instead of asking me to move he starts screaming at me and making snide remarks. Then he plus a few others decide that what I did was so bad (because Heaven forbid I actually sit at lunch) They get up and make a big show of moving to another table so I'd be by myself. So mature isn't it?

Then my friend B came into 6th crying because her boyfriend was being mean and a gaint jerk.

Lots of stupid in the air today. Lots.
One of my favorite quotes sums it up perfectly:
"Youth Ages, Immatiurity is putgrown, Ignorance can be educated and drunkness sobered but  Stupid, stupid lasts forever." ~ Aristophanes

Thanks for letting me vent.
Ya'll are total Dolls!

The Most Wonderful School in all the World

lI can't say I've been a World Traveler.
There are many many many more places I haven't been.
But at the end of the day,
There seems to be only one place that holds the most beautiful place in the World to me.
Do you know where we are yet?
What about now?
Still no?
You should be getting an Idea
And If you're still not sure,
here's a road map

The University of Alabama.
I've been going to this school since I was 2 years old.
My parents are both alums.
Up until this past year, I've gone to at least one football game since I was five.
I've been on a tour.
I've gone to a Honors College Reception.
I want to walk down Sorority Row on the way to my House.
I want to spend my Saturdays at Football Games.
I want to walk across the Quad on the way to class.
I want to live in my Crimson and White.
I want to scream Roll Tide with all my heart.

It's a dream that I want with all my heart to come true.
Only time will tell.
Roll Tide Forever and Always.
