TEAM USA

In case you've been living under a very very very small rock, in the ocean, on Mars, the 2012 London Olympics are taking place!
So far The USA Team has won 5 metals.
1 Gold
2 Silver
2 Bronze

Now let me just say I love the Olympics!
LOVE!
All day of some of my favorite sports.
It's like heaven.

So in honor of that, I'll leave you with some pictures.

And I can't leave you without my 2 favorite gymnasts.
Sam Mikulak
Jake Dalton

GO USA!

Not Where I Grew Up

"We all want to grow up. We're desperate to get there. Grab all the opportunities we can to live. We're so busy trying to get out of that mess, we don't think about the fact that it's going to be cold out there. Really freaking cold. Because growing up sometimes means leaving people behind. And by the time we stand on our own two feet, we're standing there alone." - Meredith Grey

I closed one chapter of my life a little over a month ago and am set to begin a new one in just a matter of weeks.
As I sit in this limbo of sorts, I keep hearing about how I've grown up so quick.
But what does growing up mean?
The dictionary defines growing up as "to increase in size by a natural process" or "to develop and reach maturity."
By this I am far from "grown up" as mature is one of the farthest things I'd say I am..
So what does growing up really mean?
Most see it as the act of getting older.
But is this the case?
Does turning 16 make you able to handle a car?
No. But your first wreck or first ticket makes you realize how irresponsible you really are.
Does graduating from school mean you're ready for the real world?
Not one bit.
Does turning 18 make you a real adult?
Sure, on paper.
But in reality, you're still the same naive kid you were just the day before.

So, I'd say that age is the last thing that truly defines growing up but maybe the actions that happen along the way make us realize how far we've come and how far we have to go.

Chew on that.

Taking the Tumble

TTYS is simple the Life of Meghan.
What's going on in my little bubble.
But I've gotten to where I don't update like I should.
So in light of that, I am providing you with links for all of you who just desire constant updates about me. (I mean I know all of you do.)

Tumblr is my newest one. Yes it's a blog, but nothing like this.
Think preppy and southern pictures meets lots of sarcasm.

Updates

Hola Dolls,
Hope life's treating you grand and you're avoiding this hot, hot, hot summer heat.
So once upon a time, I use to post every single day or at least 5 days a week.
Sadly, that is no longer the case.
And I know that it should be.
But honestly, I just don't have anything to post about so I don't feel the need to give y'all all my random nothings that y'all don't care about one bit.
But since this is about updates,
My Daddy recently had his gallbladder out, I'm beach bound in a week and I move in Almost exactly 39 Days.

And honestly,
That's about it.
So til next time,
stay cool, stay fabulous and I'll
