The Word Heard Around the World.

What word would that be? Why the biggest one around. For those as DAR, Scottsboro and Bob Jones the one that happens in 7 days and some hours from now.

PROM

I'll be the first to tell you....back in Feburary, I was extremely excited for Prom 2011.
I had my dress

Sorry For the Crappy Quality
I had my date.

This is Brandon. I've known Brandon for years and he's always been a very close friend.

I Couldn't wait for March 26th to get here.
But then....the downward spiral began.
First, I got the text from Brandon saying that he was going to his prom instead of going with me since our two proms were on the same night.
At a later date, he said he had planned on asking me to his prom but figured I would say no (he should have asked.)
I was very upset.
Now as it keeps getting closer, all my "friends" have made plans to go as a group and guess what....
I wasn't included.

So what's the point of spending all the money on Prom when I don't have a Date and don't have a Group.
Yeah..I don't see one either.

So instead of spending my day getting ready....I'll spend it with these guys.

The DAR Scholar's Bowl Team (ignor me.....I look dumb)

This is not our current team. We are missing a couple and have lost some as well.
But none the less, I will be spending the day at Columbia with Taylor, Joey, Alan, Dylan, Ethan and Trace in hopes of becoming 2011 NAQT State Champs.

And my evening with
+
+
+
+

Oh what a lovely, boring, weekend that will be.

But I hope everyone who does go to prom has an AMAZING time.
I'll enjoy looking at your facebook pictures.

Blah Blogs? I don't Think So.

So...in case one didn't know, I'm an avid blog poster. I try to post at least once a week and I just L-O-V-E it. I really really do. But something that I don't share as much is how much I LOVE reading blogs. If you were to click on my profile you'd see a whole long list of the blogs I follow but I'm going to take a minute to tell you about the ones I truly love.

Sweet, Sassy, Southern and Classy ~ This blog is so cute. I'll be honest, I'm not sure of the author's name but she's very southern and very classy. And I just love reading every new post.

XOXO, Emelie ~ This blog is written by a girl I've known since elementary school and I have to say it's one of my very favorites. Emelie gives you a laugh with some posts, makes you stop and think with others and others just leaves you obsessing about some new amazing fashion.

Let's Be Preppy ~ the title should say it all. Katie is a true preppy southerner at the University of South Carolina. I highly recommend reading this one! It's defiantly in my top 5 for the blog world.

Love, Brooke ~ Brooke is a freshman at Mississippi State and she is one of the most fashionable people I've ever read about. I absolutely love her blog and get extremely excited about every new post she has.

College Prep ~ College Prep is written by a really really fabulous author by the name of Carly. One thing that I absolutely adore about this blog is that Carly makes a point of posting just about every day. That really makes my day. I hate when I check my dashboard and there isn't any new posts.

Ciara's World ~ My FAVORITE blog. Ciara is a girl I've known since 5th grade. She has always been one of the most fashionable young people I know. Her posts are AMAZING. If I were to only get to read one blog. I think it would probably be this one.

So now you know the blogs that I get a tad excited about seeing with new posts on my dashboard. Now I just have one other thing to say to you.

!!!CHECK THEM OUT!!!

I stole this from College Prep and thought, why not...

Today is St. Patrick's Day... obviously.

With any luck, I will find a pot of gold, win the lottery, hit the jackpot, strike it rich, discover oil, etc.

If I find myself so lucky... These are the three things that I would most definitely buy:

Dresses
Enough of them to make my closet so full you can't move.

Season Tickets to the Most Beautiful Place on Earth.

And the iPhone 4 with preppy covers.

Why you ask?
  1. The Dresses because I'm a girly girl who is a label whore.
  2. Again. Most. Beautiful. Place. On. Earth.
  3. I want. I need. Enough said.

One Day....

One Day....after graduating from

The University of Alabama
and after I become

A Doctor

And after I've married
My Future Husband
 One day.... I'll live

(check out my house post at http://aquoteandtalktoyousoon.blogspot.com/2011/02/its-southern-life.html)
So a powerful job, a husband from old money, and the most beautiful house around... what could be left you ask?
Why kids of course.
First comes:

Emmett James
Emmett James. EJ. Em. Momma's Little man. Blonde hair with piercing green eyes. He will be just like his daddy, a football player, a baseball player, he'll drive a motorbike just to make his mother nervous but he'll dress to the nines in his Polo and Vineyard Vines. He'll follow in both his parents and grandparents footsteps and attend the University of Alabama with plans of going into Medicine like his mother.

Addison Marie
Next, would come little Addi Marie. Dirty Blonde hair. Dark Blue eyes. She'll look and act just like her mother. She'll be the Princess, but not be scared of getting dirty and will spend her time cheering and at gymnastics if not at her brothers games. She'll become the perfect sorority girl. Pearls will be her passion. She'll wear Tory Burch, Ralph Lauren, Vineyard Vines and Lilly Pulitzer like its going out of style.

Finally,

Everett Matthew
Named after his grandfather, Ev will be a total sweetheart. He'll be Momma's boy who loves basketball and baseball but will detest football and everything to go with it but that doesn't mean he wont get all dressed up to go to a U of A game. He'll do whatever he is told except cut his hair much to his grandmother's distaste.

One day..... I'll have my perfect family and perfect life. But for now... I'm living it day to day.

True Life: I'm A Southern Belle

Well I just spent the last 43 minutes watching this and I have to say I LOVE it! All of it is just so true. I love being southern and being a southern belle. There is nothing quite as fabulous. I want to have a family and wear nice clothes and I can NOT wait when a year from now, I'll be getting ready to head off to the University and get to live the true southern life.

"In the South, the breeze blows softer... neighbors are friendlier, nosier, and more talkative. (By contrast with the Yankee, the Southerner never uses one word when ten or twenty will do). This is a different place. Our way of thinking is different, as are our ways of seeing, laughing, singing, eating, meeting and parting. Our walk is different, as the old song goes, our talk and our names. Nothing about us is quite the same as in the country to the north and west. What we carry in our memories is different, too and that may explain everything else."

The First Lady of Fashion

 Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis
If there was anyone I would want to idolize, it would be this amazing lady right here.
There is no one quite at amazing as Jackie O.

"Now, I think that I should have known that he was magic all along. I did know it - but I should have guessed that it would be too much to ask to grow old with and see our children grow up together. So now, he is a legend when he would have preferred to be a man."- Jackie Kennedy

Never Trust A Pretty Girl with An Ugly Secret.

Spencer Hastings, Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields and Hanna Marin
Pretty Little Liars is one of my FAVORITE Book Series. And when the show first came out, I was heavily disappointed. But Now, I've grown to love it! So in inspiration of that, I've come up with looks to match the girls fashion.
Spencer is my favorite on the show due to the fact that her style is so preppy. She's also really smart and a perfectionist.

Hanna is so pretty. I love her super girl style. And the fact she's a blonde is just fabulous.
Aria is the queen of boho. She's super hip and I love the edgyness of the style.

Emily Fields. She's ok but not my favorite. I really am not a fan of the sporty style although I am digging those sneaks right there.

Well I think that about wraps it up for my Pretty Little Liars Post. I hope you enjoy.

Learn not to Regret. Time is Fleeting.

"Judging someone is part of Human nature. Is it necessarily right? No, probably not. But learning to take what someone says about you and make yourself better because of it? Well that is what takes character and learning how to grow up. Until you can learn that people are going to criticise and you just have to learn to deal with it, for ever ignorant you will be."

At this very moment, this is my facebook status. I stand by what I said and no matter what I wont take it back. In the past week, I have
  1. Argued with my teacher in a right to prove my ideas. I may have gotten break detention and how I said things may not have been correct but I stand by what I said.
  2. I upset a friend by telling her that I didn't think what she was wearing matched. I feel bad that I upset her but I do not take back what I said and still think it's true.
  3. I got called out for being "judgemental" for saying that I found it weird that someone was wearing tights and sandals when it was 40 degrees out. Personally I thought it took guts and I say more power to the wearer for doing so. It was actually really pretty. I just found it odd with it being so cold to wear the sandals with tights. I don't take back what I said. I find it insulting that everyone else can state their opinions but not I.
When I was younger, I was use to being stepped on and told I was wrong. As I've gotten older, I've found that I can't just stand their and let my opinion go unsaid. Sure, how I say it may not be the best way. And sure, sometimes, I need to learn not to open my mouth. But I don't regret things I say. If I say them then I mean them. There is even more that I don't say that I want to. I've learned to hush my mouth when the time comes and when its time to open them. I've made mistakes, I'll be the first to say, no matter what words someone might put in my mouth, I am FAR from PERFECT! And I know this. I except my flaws. I live for me and I don't regret.
EVERYTHING! Happens for a REASON!

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation." ~Oscar Wilde
