Inspired By...

So it's well known that Fashion can come from anything.
And probably has and probably will at at least one point.
For Example,
Stars Tonight By Lady Antebellum
I love this song.
It's upbeat and happy and I just want to party when I hear it.
"Girls in their heels and a skinny pair of blue jeans
Boys in black pearl buttons looking just like Springsteen
Mama says why you wanna play in a silly rock 'n' roll band
Well, if you stood here mama, I know you'd understand, yeah"

"We are the kings and the queens
You traded your baseball cap for a crown
When they gave us our trophies
And we held them up for our town
And the cynics were outraged
Screaming, this is absurd
'Cause for a moment a band of thieves
In ripped-up jeans got to rule the world"

This is one of my favorite songs. I mean who wouldn't want to fight dragons with the homecoming king?

Just a couple of examples of things that can inspire.
If you have anything you'd like me to do please let know.
Keep being fabulous,

Just Call Me Mother Nature

Because this weather is the perfect repersentive of my mood.
Recently, I've been in a in a mood. Dark, drery, melencholy, cold and just down right depressing. And the reasons behind it? Completely dumb. Prom, State stuff and a stupid boy that has caused me problems time and time again. Add in not feeling great, 4 weeks til the AP History Exam, 50 billion things in English and Anatomy plus Pre-cal that I just dont get, getting ready for Nationals and the fact that the friendship file is looking very empty right now, all I want to do is sit in my room with the lights off, listening to sad music and sleeping.
If some good changes dont happen soon, I might just loose it.

The Joys of Being a Back Row Baptist...

And no, I'm not talking about Church.
Or at least not in the normal sense of the word.
No, I'm talking about 6th Period Honors Pre-Cal with Ms. Saint
or Church as we call it.
It all started one day in class when Ms. Saint had us Amening her lecturing.
Ms. Saint had to keep going with it,
First row became Church of Christ - the ones that never break the rules always do what they're suppose to, etc, etc.
2nd row, the Episcopalians- This bunch is normally good but can get a little loud and crazy
Third Row, the Jehovah Witnesses which all come from the fact on the day this happened Garrett was all alone on his row and he decided he was going to go through trying to get people to join him. (He actually gained two, it was a bit shocking.)
And last but not least we have the Back-Row Baptists.
The Rule-Breakers.
The Loud Mouths.
The Row that consists of Jessica, Joe, Fernando, Emily, Brook and Myself.
We're probabbly the only row that never asks questions but actually knows what we're doing.
We sit back there and eat and talk and normally get told to hush at least once a class period.
There's not a better place to sit and not a better group to sit with.
So to sum it up Pre-Cal = Demon Work but being a Back Row Baptist makes it almost worth it.
Have a wonderful evening.
Enjoy the storms.

One Step Closer

HAPPY MONDAY!!
So I'm extremely Happy today! :)
I got an email from Cynthia Moore who is in charge of the Rural Health Scholar's Program at the University of Alabama which is the summer pre-med program that I applied for.
The email was something like this:
"Hello Applicants,
Thanks for your interest in the Rural Health Scholars Program. We have received your application and will be reviewing it soon. Good luck to each of you."
65 other people got this email.
25-30 actually get picked.

So nothing real big but one step closer to finding out if I got into the program or not.
I'm really really really hoping I did.
Hopefully I'll find out soon.

(Its a long story...)
We are also the 4A State Champs!
I got home at 5 and wasn't in a good mood.
I ended up falling asleep at 9 and didn't get up til 10 this morning besides waking up during the storms.
I kind of wish I had gone to Prom but its to late now
I'll just look at everyone's pictures and get over it.
There's always next year.
I hope everyone had a blast.

People of Walmart

In Scottsboro, Alabama there is really only one place to get everything.
This place?
Walmart of course.
Every time I go in there (which seems to be at least once a week)
I run into someone I know or my mother knows
For example, just tonight when my mother, my brother and I were going to get sandwichs for State tomorrow (when we went to this school earlier this year I didn't get food-not happening this time),
As we were going in, we ran into Mrs. Shirley that my mother use to work with at the bank
Then Momma and I went over to the fabrics because I wanted to look for some as I have plans of making a dress very soon, we ran into Ciara who looked like she was on some type of mission.
As we were leaving, we ran into this little boy who's in 1st grade in my Aunt Jane's class out at Nelson. His name is Dominque and he is such a cute little kid.

It never fells, after Facebook, Walmart is the social center of Scottsboro.
Have a Wonderful Evening Everyone!

OH!, by the way, just to share, the DAR scholar's bowl team had a tournament at Snead today - we finished 2nd! (We lost on the very last question...it made me sad, but I'm still very proud of my team!)
